Movensys originated from a project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1996 and was officially founded in 1998. From the beginning, Movensys has strived to become a future-oriented leader in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
In 2021, Movensys changed its company name with the vision of becoming a technology-intensive global leader in robotics, motion control, and advanced measurement industries. The corporate name Movensys derived from Latin words 'primum movens' of which meaning is the first mover without being moved itself and the Greek word σῠν(sun-) that means 'stand with, together'. The signature is designed to express lucid and future-oriented concept.
