Movensys originated from a project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1996 and was officially founded in 1998. From the beginning, Movensys has strived to become a future-oriented leader in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
In 2021, Movensys changed its company name with the vision of becoming a technology-intensive global leader in robotics, motion control, and advanced measurement industries. Guided by its management philosophy, “Contributing to social change through continuous technological innovation,” all employees are committed to providing customized automation solutions and system consulting services across various industries, including semiconductors, displays, and information and communications equipment.

History
Starting with the 'Robot Control Project' at MIT in 1996 to
develop world-first software-based motion control platform.
Movensys was founded in 1998, following the ‘Next Generation Robot Controller’ development project at MIT in 1996, with the aim of continuously taking on new technological challenges. In addition, Movensys developed the world’s first software-based motion controller platform, WMX, which integrates Soft Motion technology and EtherCAT communication, as well as Soft Master based on CC-Link IE TSN and MECHATROLINK-4 communication.

Signature
The corporate name Movensys derived from Latin words 'primum movens' of which meaning is the first mover without being moved itself and the Greek word σῠν(sun-) that means 'stand with, together'. The signature is designed to express lucid and future-oriented concept.
Our company vision "contributing to the change of society by continuous technical innovation” is emphasized by the Möbius strip implying infinite values.
